I've done that too-- tried to give current Republicans grace by calling some of them MAGA Republicans, when you are right that they don't deserve it. Their precious Tea Party was quite MAGA and their Team Dubya sanctioned war crimes.
Perhaps Ms. Longwell is telegraphing a more expansive definition of political majority she may secretly be harboring. It seems to be a thing among Republicans these days.
I find it difficult to seriously converse with folks who respond to any factual statement by sticking their fingers in their ears and yelling "NUH UH!" over and over, so I have largely given up on that activity.
W is like their ex; they have complicated feelings about him, and they have been programmed over the decades to respond to complicated feelings with vicious hatred, which, of course, does nothing to address those complicated feelings.
Thank you again for the podcast. Yesterday, a very nice pharmacist at Vons named Gabrielle suggested that we gang up on my doctor to get him to send in my prescription refill for my blood pressure medicine, and today it worked!
