Not as a criticism but the history lessons of what I lived through is still finger nails scratching across a chalk board. There is no Revlon product to make it appear better than it was.
I started a list (it will take some time) on all the overturning of the republican de evolution and corruption that can be done in 2 years. 2 years is all a Dem House, Senate and President will have to put what it can right. Can't expect Dems to hold the house more than 2 years. The right wing wealth of this country will spend lavishly to stop it.
Trump in first term was provided with senate and hose majorities and the same in this 2nd term. There was no caution by giving Dems one of the House or senate to control as a buffer.
People should know, it is republicans that are doing all that Trump is blamed for. GOP could stop it yet, do not. That means they are responsible mot only Trump who seems to get all the glory in the press.
I got mu primary Dem ballot and like most times I find a good problem. There are several Dems running in the primary against each other to get to the General election. They are all Democratic minded. Some more liberal than others and all will represent well.
The good problem, which one to vote for. vote for who has best shot to win or who I think is best suited. It doesn't matter so much if I like their personality. Although if their personality is that of a rat's asshole. Well then it matters.
I would appreciate next Dem president to claw back all pardons Lumpy sold and handed out. Sure some will say it is not legal.
So next step is to stack the court with 4 Liberal justices before the right wealthy can get their appeal cases to the court to strike down president's claw back and continue like that.
What Lumpy accomplished with the SCOTUS is he proved he can appoint people on it that do not have to follow the law of the constitution. They will tell you and already have. Things like, " Truing to figure out from the written constitution, the Federalist papers, and then what were the founders thinking when the wrote the constitution. If you read the words it tells you. If the words aren't there it doesn't tell you but most could comprehend the direction of the law.
But what about the intent of the word "Shall verses shuld" or must? Children's games they play on adults.
Well let's see? Comparing Fergus to Jesus on Easter? Sure, nail him right up. Might be difficult to do with his tiny hands, but if we can send people to the moon, we can surely accomplish it.
Dubya at least had a familial respect for the presidency, which in a certain sense makes his lies worse than Fergus' lies.
Not more destructive, mind you, just morally worse.
Remember morals?
We do need to come up with a strategy for reimposing sanity in government, but that will be a PR campaign for the ages.
Who could sell sanity to the Americans?
The terms will have to be epic.
