They always seem to incite both siderisms when something right wing went real bad. Right winger caught with underage kids in sex0capades, Corrupt finger in the cash drawer, Pro life zealot enthusiast GOPer caught getting his mistress an Abortion, Walking the Appellation trail. Both sider is invoke when a republican or the GOP has failed and / or finds itself in dirty diapers. Invoking it is to as you say soften the ugly and corrupt acts of the right and they are both do it. It appears they are sharing the guilt and spreading the the accountability but are actually projecting blame on their political opponents. Once Both sides is established. Pointing full blame to Democrats is a short stroll. In the end of the both sider follies. The guilty is now innocent and the innocent is plastered with the guilt. Two important facts. `) Both siderism is never invoked for a democratic leaning person or politician. 2) It's invocation leads to a two step phase. first, Planting some of the guilt on another. and, then shoveling al the guilt onto the patsy from the guilty to end with the guilty is innocent and the innocent is the painted patsy bearer of the guilt. prove me wrong..........
one of you guys best shows, that's saying alot. may the day bring you the warmth of the sun,and the peacefullness of the sunset. "i am a casadilla!!!!!" thanks blue gal....
Polling can be a useful snapshot of a sample of an issue of public sentiment. Polling companies have narrowed their sampling of people and use most likely the same groups permanently on their polling lists as easy reliability to respond to them. . Make no doubt about it, The companies want a product to sell, they word the questions to induce a answer they are looking for. The product is for profit and the customers are provided with basically what they asked for and expected other wise the product might not sell. It is not a matter of republican or democratic voting as a loualtu to a party for me. Problem is GOP on the issues are extremely so rotten they have to mislead and lie a lot to cover. It is the issues for me not the person. for me
Dems may not have all the right answers but their answers on the issues are overwhelmingly improving what exists. I recall a dem that was pro life. He was well aware the 1st Amendment states that government will not establish religion and we have the freedom of religion. Being a congressman he knew he was government and he would still vote to ban/restrict abortions because of his personal religion. Again, Knowing he is government and he is imposing his religion (establishing his religion) on the issue. But on every other issue he was agreeable. I think John Kerry got it right when asked during president debate if. "Being catholic, knowing your religion stands on abortion. Would you ban it? He response was that was his personal religious organizations position and that it was above his pay grade. In other words, he would be establishing via government his religious views and therefore using government to establish religion.. I dismiss the polls when deciding my votes. I dismiss the political party and focus on their issue stances and keep in mind their national political party's stances (platforms) on the issues. A GOPer may run for office claiming he is for Social; Security but his national party is for privatizing it. His party leadership will change his mind once in office if he wants to be in the GOP tree house. So his stance is on social security is not in line with my position. I can take issue by issue and a large overwhelming percentage of the time, end up favoring the democrat based on the issues. Sure, I consider the ability to outright lie on the issues. It is easier than one may think. When the political entire party has been abruptly remarketed and the new advertising is completely estranged to its former long time stance(s) It raises the alarm bells. For instance, If all of a sudden republicans running for office are selling the issue of Assault weapons ban. Some is burning in Satan's oven and smells bad.
In other words, I actually begin my voting research each time as what a true independent would be expected to do. Issues rise and drop like a stock market. What is more severe at the moment in time. The stances and history on the issues always leads me away from the GOP. So someone like John McCain got a fair evaluation that ended up me voting for the Democtaic opponent.
Wait just a cotton picken minute here: Jeffery Goldberg? The same guy who was accidentally included on the signal chat from hell is the one saying all of this fluffy horseshit about DFB? There must be a "business model" buried somewhere in that odiferous (yet light and fluffy) pile. That's not to denigrate horse-droppings, which, if left in the pasture long enough to dry properly, can be picked up and knocked way over the fence with your classic Louisville Slugger... (just don't let your mom see you or she won't let you bring your bat back into the house. Which, I guess is just one example of how actual horse feces can be more useful and amusing than the product of our corporate media in this year of our lord 2026. I keep thinking of something I saw on Twitter about Kay Graham publishing the second tranche of the pentagon papers while in the middle of an IPO and under threat from the Nixon administration. I also wonder whether MAGA will realize the need for lifeboats in time for their actual construction. It doesn't seem to me like they believe they are doing anything wrong. Perhaps they will need to be sunk one at a time. Thank you again for the podcast. Briana had to print out and mark up a screenshot from Google Earth (Google maps wouldn't do) and upload it to the Your Projects page on the PG&E website today in our ongoing quest to get delicious AC120 again at our house in Miranda. Now we need a "load sheet"...
