I'm tired and still under the weather, so I'll stick to one quote which speaks for itself so loudly further deponent really need sayeth not.
The last paragraph of Mr. David Brooks' latest extrusion of Both Siderist ordure.
If you want a one-sentence description of where politics is right now here’s my nominee: We now have a group of revolutionary rightists who have no constructive ideology confronting a group of progressives who let their movement be captured by a revolutionary left-wing ideology that failed.A this moment, the World Engines in Zack Snyder's odious Man of Steel could not deliver Brooks with a "fuck you" hammer blow hard enough to suit me.
But of course, The New York Times doesn't really have a Brooks problem.
The New York Times has a Arthur Gregg Sulzberger problem.  Brooks is just one of that problem's many, many symptomatic pustules.

Happy Birthday! Slight correction: ..."A group of Progressives who've remained steadfast while their movement was obstructed, co-opted, sabotaged and maligned by those same revolutionary rightist Quislings who've proven they can't lead or govern responsibly. Left-wing ideology has not failed. It worked like a charm for 35 years while being constantly demonized by the right. It would work again tomorrow. Even better with the funding now available! Make it so!
The right's "better ideas" are what have failed, but admitting that would cause DFB to disassemble completely like a Space X rocket.
Welcome to Social Security and Medicare!!! I hope it will be around for many more generations or until it becomes universal...
