Professional Left Podcast Episode 903: Rahm 2028? No Thanks

Ep 903: Rahm 2028? No Thanks

May 27, 2025

This week, we’re diagnosing a political condition we’re all feeling — what we’re calling Political Cabin Fever. It’s not hopelessness, it’s exhaustion, and if you're part of the Democratic Base, we bet you know exactly what we mean. We remember before-time examples of MAGA from Archie Bunker to Bill Hicks to RoboCop, and we talk about how liberals like us have been sounding the alarm for decades while elite opinion-havers closed their eyes. Plus, we take a look at the Rahmbo revival tour (Why are you doing this, Rahm? We think we know.), corporate media’s dangerous dance with Trump, and why the Democratic Party keeps punching hippies when it should be listening to the very people who saw this coming. Buckle up — it’s Episode 903 of The Professional Left Podcast.

Something from the horizontal side bar.
There have been numerous articles about House republicans in turmoil and revolt over their reconciliation bill.
All reporting how many republicans want this and that and won;t vote for it unless. On and on how they won't get it through the House to the senate.
Well, they were all wrong. Why would that be? I mean why inundate us with hopes of a fire extinguisher to put out the fire around you that you are staked to a post to burn?
Since the house bill passed and went ot the sente. The same people are writing articles that the GOP senators will not vote for the Big ugly bill for this reason and that excuse. That Senate republicans are different than House critters and have more at stake and more brains and therefore care and give a damn.
So now the articles are all about the GP senate not being able to come together on a reconciliation. You know, they either care about people getting Medicaid in their state, just like they cared about the ACA people in their state acquiring health care.
GOP senators are worried about being primaried by another republican. They are assured the general election is Theirs (in red states)because they know the folks in their states have been zombified.
They can rape their voters 10 year old girl and they would still vote for them over a Democrat.
Just how they are and been conditioned.
What is it with democrats, Lieberman, Manchin, That female meteorite from Arizona and now the self absorbed mental problem of the Senator from Penn..
Can dems perform extreme vetting?

Robt says
My next solicited call to perform jury duty is going to get ugly.
Why take the time to do this civil duty when the president sells pardons to over turn all that painstaking time and effort.
Why bother convicting any left leaning criminals when president will charge extra to pardon and less for his perceived ideological compadres in crime.
Convict all right leaning accused no matter what and let them get their pardon from thier cult leader.
It is my way of sending business for the Prez to profit.
