This Day In David Brooks

From The New York Times today, the headline...

Producing Something This Stupid Is the Achievement of a Lifetime

by David Brooks

Then 16 paragraphs of yadda yadda filler.

Then, finally, in the 17th paragraph, arrives at his point.

What happens when people lose the ability to reason or render good judgments? Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...

I didn't know he considered himself a bowel movement Conservative. So what did he really think of Pat Buchanan the old bar room brawler, Protocols of the Elders of Zion sort of rock ribbed movement Conservative? By the early 2000's even fellow traveler in seeking true Conservatism David Frum had seen enough.
Not our boy Dave evidently. Well he did what he was hired to do for the NY Times. Twiddle his thumbs till the ethnic cleansing starts.

That headline should just be the default headline for every Brooks column.

I offer this great subject topic for the David Brooks to moralize on.
:Is there a difference between a working class person murdering a Wealthy healthcare CEO and a Wealthy republican president that knowingly sends a innocent man to a foreign prison for life and when ordered to bring him back. He contests his mistake to stand and let the innocent man rot to our Supreme court to over rule the lower courts bring him back order.
Can Brooks get to the paralyzing center of both sides on this?
II hereby submit my challenge to him.

Steve Hackett is still out there keeping old Genesis music alive on the road, and the band he has assembled to do this is top-notch. In my opinion, the backbone of this effort is Roger King, the keyboard player, who not only has the chops to play Steve's own compositions, but has Tony Bank's Genesis parts nailed.
He does, however, look a little bit like David Brooks in his face.
Now I'm not suggesting that he avail himself of plastic surgery or anything, it's just a little distracting when the video of "Can Utility and the Coastliners" cuts to his face at the keyboards and I have to stifle a curse word...
