Listening to you and Digby with Bob Ceska: say what one may about Booker's marathon being "performative", it engaged a term and concept that leading Democrats have woefully neglected: morale building. Keeping peoples' spirits up, holding them together, being seen fighting the good fight. The opposite of "trust us, we know what we're doing," only to have several warehouses of finely-dessicated powder blow up in their faces.
The Bosco advertisement is flawless. The only (very tongue-in-cheek) note I have to offer is that a cryptocurrency named AFTER A CAT should not have anything relating to "neural consensus" in its description. Herding cats, and all that.

Also (sorry to double post), it looks like the Trmp tweet about impeaching POTUS if the stock market dropped 1k points in a day is fake - I'm seeing several sources in that direction.

About those beautiful lovely tariffs.
I see massive amounts of trade realignment going on. California with its economic might has began to negotiate trade for it's own state. The Trump tariff deep sate is going to want its money.
In this day of any bullshit goes. California should use "state rights" to put the same amount of tariffs on the federal government that its importers are forced to pay. Yes, for every tariff the federal government imposes on imported goods into California. It impose the same amount on the Fed Gov.. To zero out the Feed tariffs. After all it will be Calif. that collects the tariff and sends to D.C.. Calif. can even refuse fed taxes in equal amount of tariffs. I mean let it run through the courts.
Win or lose in court it delays and disturbs the Limby scheme.

Use state rights to negotiate the states own trade deals to exclude the GOP deep state.

We went down to Oakhurst for the Hands Off protest today, and I was surprised at how many people showed up out here in the Republican hinterlands. Highlight: the lady standing in front of me yelling "I'll pray for you!" to an SUV who had flipped us off.
Overall, more support than opposition, and I find that you can forget how that feels if you don't get it for long enough.
Briana made a sign that said "Hands off social security", which she gave to a little girl who was upset that her brother had a sign and she didn't when we left, so we did our part at corrupting the youth also.
I talked to a lady who said she had just lost her 401K and couldn't retire like she had been planning to. And a cute little girl with braces on her teeth was waving a bubble wand so that the bubbles drifted out into traffic. Lot of old folks like me, lot of young folks still in school. I told one guy that I hadn't been to a protest since the Iraq war, and he said that he had protested Nixon's policies, so then I didn't feel quite so ancient.
I would like to point out a contrast: Our governor Gavin Reptile starting a podcast and inviting Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon onto it, vs Cory Booker holding the senate floor for 25 hours talking about how Fergus is buggering the country.
Which one looks stronger and smarter, and which one publicly abandoned his supposed values the minute the wind shifted?
Will either one end up mattering when the ballots fly? Maybe, maybe not, but after the feeling of uplift I just got from being in a community of sane folks all there to oppose this mounting pile of toxic bullshit, it feels worthwhile to me for now.

As soon as they can liberate us of any money we have. Combined with borrowing overwhelming amounts of money to hand over to the wealthy to use that money borrowed in our name to buy up properties from people losing their mortgages. To erase any laws or rules of business to steal from anyone they can, to then own a desperate out of work workforce at below minimum wages and all this will increase the wealth of America for who they refer to as ?Americans?. Which is not us. You can hear the billionaire wall street elite speaking out about "GLOBAL GROWTH" and prosperity for them
Sure there will be economic pain for us losing everything we own. But some day when the markets return you can take all the acorns in your backyard and invest and become a billionaire too.
and if you believe that. You don't understand. They will figure out a way to liberate you from your acorns.
Just remember, all those billionaires who supported Trump and now are saying I like the man but his tweets and now his tariffs they can;t stand. They were in on the fraud and theft to get what they want because they do ot feel us Americans are Americans and therefore are unworthy. Their money can buy more than your lack of money can and the SCOTUS ruled money is speech because they knew who had the money and controlled who can speak and who can't. It is just that SCOTUUS ruled money is speech in their legal speak means, they can buy and bribe or fund anything to destroy and undermine anyone they wish.
The one with the most wealth rules. Forget that We the People libtard ideology.
