It was even worse, again: It wasn't Willie Brown (who is now threatening to sue) or Jerry Brown (who famously made a face like he'd bit into a dog turd when Fergus suggested at the site of a catastrophic deadly wildfire that the forest floor be raked) but another Black, California politician named Nate Holden in the ailing helicopter. Said Holden: "Willie Brown is the short, Black politician from San Francisco, I'm the tall, Black politician from LA." It reminded me a little of that time when Samuel L Jackson tore into the interviewer who mistook him for Laurence Fishburne...
I am perfectly capable of avoiding Michael Steele, as I have never even owned a television, but I do get angry when they sub him in for Jen Psaki, especially on the night when her interview with Nancy Pelosi ran. Faux lesbians my shiny metal ass.
I cancelled my subscription to the New York fucking Times last month. I only had it to begin with so I could read Paul Krugman's column. His newsletter isn't paywalled, even though they keep sending me emails saying it is. So far, another commenter on the Field Negro has posted a gifted link to the column every time it has run, so I haven't even missed that yet.
