There's a difference between being actually fatigued and being tired of the same old bullshit being sold at a high markup as the the next new shiny thing.
Camaraderie is indeed a powerful thing. I remember being a motocross racer, and the camaraderie was strong among that particular tribe. Same with being a cook. Restaurant crews have been where I met some of my best lasting friends. Fans of indie bands made some of the best early online communities, and fell prey to the suits in stunning numbers.
When I was a kid, I was awash in a sea of anti-drug propaganda, but nobody ever tried to warn me to just say no to the moneymen.
Three of the best jobs I ever had fell prey to them, adding up to around twenty years of my life.
So now our job, which is to get the unengaged folks to mark the bubble next to Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. on their ballots this November just got harder.
But what are we gonna do about that? Throw up our hands and whine that the election won't be a cakewalk? It never was. We go down, we go down fighting, plain and simple, there is no other sane alternative.
