Is Illinois Ground Zero For The Apocalypse?

I'm not saying it is or it ain't, but consider:

Revelation 9:  Then the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth, and it was given the key to the pit of the Abyss. 2

The star opened the pit of the Abyss, and smoke rose out of it like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit. 3

And out of the smoke, locusts descended on the earth, and they were given power like that of the scorpions of the earth.…

So blotting out the sun?

Check.

From the Illinois Department of Natural Resources:

Seven years after the 2017 total eclipse thrilled and delighted viewers in the Midwest, another total solar eclipse will be visible over 128 miles of Illinois the afternoon of April 8, 2024. The next total solar eclipse visible in the United States won’t be until 2044.

Thirty-one Illinois state parks and sites managed by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources are in the eclipse’s path of totality. Numerous other parks and sites lie just outside the path of totality, offering equally spectacular views of the eclipse, though for shorter periods of time.

Southern Illinois is considered the eclipse crossroads of America because it was in the centerline for the path of totality in 2017 and will be again in 2024.

The largest Illinois city in the path of totality is Carbondale. In downtown Carbondale the eclipse will begin moments before 2 p.m. and last for 4 minutes and 9 seconds, which is nearly double the length of time of the 2017 eclipse.

A nearly unprecedented swarm of big, loud, scary-looking flying bugs?

Check.

From ABC News, Chicago:

17-year cicadas in Illinois part of 'double brood emergence' that will soon unleash billions of bugs

In a matter of months, they will dig their way out from underground, red eyes shining, deafening song filling the air. It will be a confluence of creatures the likes of which hasn't been seen in the United States since Thomas Jefferson was president - and won't happen again until 2245. It's a rare emergence of insects some are referring to as cicadapocalypse.

Billions of cicadas are expected to surface this spring as two different broods - one that appears every 13 years, and another every 17 years - emerge simultaneously. The 13-year group, known as Brood XIX, or the Great Southern Brood, is the largest periodical cicada brood, stretching across the southeastern United States. The Northern Illinois Brood, or Brood XIII, emerges every 17 years.

Not saying the end of the world is definitely coming and that it'll begin within shouting distance of my house.

All I'm saying is, if I feel the slightest rumble from the New Madrid Fault -- which runs right through Southern Illinois -- I'm outta here.

As far as I know, Philadelphia is the only American place name in Revelation.

No, that’s just me releasing a truckload of helium-filled sex dolls.

What does Revelations tell us of the great Cicada emergence that is coming. No, A star ( hundreds of times larger than Earth will not fall to Earth). Physically impossible for a star to fall to the Earth. The other way around will work though.
I do not imagine as your pic (above) portrays of rising up and away. I tend to entertain the hypothesis that an Apocalypse is a naughty thing which causes me to conclude
Going downward/ Due south. Because the Church has made it clear all bad things go to hell and hell is downward not upward.
In simple terms an airplane that loses its engine power to fly while in the air. Does not fall upward. It falls downward. It may be why God created Mother nature to create GRAVITU.

Just don't let the apocalypse take my waiter before my food is served.

Robt again,
Because I like listening to both sies Liberal and Progressive. I ask if you and BG might consider discussing
between you the bad acts, rotten behavior, selling out which the Trump presidency wrought .
specifically in regards to all the GOP who say they don't care for all the tweeting but love the policy.

You have heard it. He is crude and obnoxious and the tweeting but like his policies?

make a list (yeah it will have to end at some point).
A list of all his misbehaviors and a list of his policies.

Would nuking a hurricane be a policy a whim idea or misbehavior disorder?

Lying about building a wall and Mexico paying for it a policy or lying misconduct?

I imagine it would be policy when he said in Helenki with Putin that he trusted Putin intelligence agencies over the UDA?
Was it bad policy or good policy to lie to America and deceive to undermine a pandemic?
Was it good policy to let the states fend for themselves for masks and ventilators?
Was it good policy for a president to distort a path of a hurricane leaving Americans in its path (or not) to be misinformed?
If there is concern for the SCOTUS balance, is it good policy for that balance to take money in exchange for selecting 3 justices from the pig stie of corruption?

You can see where I am going with this.

The wasted expensive tomahawk s launched to make holes in a deserted airfield in the middle east to military soldiers that received concussion's from Iran's missile attack and sent to Germany for brain observation only for him to tell Americans they only have head aches.

I have really wanted to see someone on the TV news go into this brain dead mantra of , "I don't like his tweeting (meaning his crudeness) but I like his policies.

I can tell you, I trashed and destroyed a friend who told me that very thing and his take was he is religious and Trump promotes his religious goals.
Religious goals of being like Iran the Theocracy?

But like I said, really would like to hear the both sides of this. Both the liberal side and the Progressive side . I do ot consider the republican conservative a side. There is no principals or disciple to it to be a side.

Thanks and sorry , don't mean to pressure you folks. think the two of you could do this justice.

But who will take the liberal side and who gets the progressive side?

I was going to TX for the eclipse but now Illinois it is. I wanted to get into TX one more time before the ethnic cleansing gets rolling where instead of just standing aside like Uvalde the police will join with the patriotic Christians to kill the Communists, ie ethnics.

OH NO, DRIFTGLASS!

More people are telling the US political press to WAKE THE FUCK UP AND SMELL THE DOGDAMNED FASCISM!

The Washington press corps doesn’t have a freaking clue

The whole article is good (and painfully relevant) reading, but this paragraph may warm the cockles of your old blogger's heart:

>>> Let me be very clear here: Whether or not the country succumbs to fascism is a helluva political story no matter how you feel about it. A Trump victory would profoundly change how government and justice are practiced. If you don’t understand that, you are a wildly incompetent political reporter.

At the very end we get this utter gem (speaking of Chris Quinn's op-ed in the CPD, which I've shared here):

>>> Please read the whole thing. It’s marvelous. It’s what journalism ought to be.

It’s what the New York Times ought to be, but isn’t.

(Emphasis added.)

Is any of this going to actually change anything at the Times? Obviously, no. But maybe, just maybe, more people who don't follow politics the way we do might see it, might take note, and might turn away from legacy media outlets.

Thanks for all you do.

Young'uns never heard Dylan. I asked them.

Come writers and critics
who prophesize with your pen.
And keep your eyes wide
the chance won't come again.
Don't speak too soon
for the wheel still it spins
and there's no telling who it is naming.
The slow one now will be later to win

For the Times, they are a'changing.

Come Senators and Congressmen
please heed the call.
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
And he who gets hurt will be
he who has stalled.
There's a battle outside and it's raging.
It will soon shake your windows
and rattle your walls.

For the Times they are a'changing

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast. [Dylan goes on, but

we pause and underscore that 'the line'
is the Moon's black stripe on America
this Monday.
Pray it does not darken your land or loved ones.

And 'the curse' that is cast
is by moral certainty of native American First Peoples
voiced by the Great Shawnee Chieftain Tecumpseh
who, at the moment of speaking,
swore his oath vengeance with a stomp of his foot.
At the very moment of the New Madrid quake.
Indians believed he caused it.
Perhaps he did.
You are untaught and unable to judge,
no different than idiot Judge Cannon.
