Good morning and thank you to you both. For the cast, your work, and just being generally awesome to read and listen to. (Not just your personalities - though definitely those - but your thorough research, comprehensible presentation, and eye into history.)
Just starting the cast, but in NOT news, Robert Hur's report is an 830+ page fishing expedition plus a long-form character attack on multiple members of the Biden family. AG Garland chose to let every word of this vindictive editorialization and character assassination stand. Marcy Wheeler and Wonkette are seething about it, and I'm sure you will have words too.
And in the end, we all know where this is heading. An inexorable march towards the endless chanting chorus of BothSides(TM) from our faithless MSM. I suppose we can humorously compare their equivocation on Trump's behalf with their stern condemnation of Biden. I mean, what do you figure we'll see? 50+ articles between NYT and WaPo? 60? More?
At least Democrats in Congress and the WH are pushing back.

How parents with wealth pay for their children's law degrees. Never learning the limits of disrespect one should display as a professional .
Of course Biden is old. Did you know he is about 80? Be clear, this prosecutor is of middle age at least. To those much younger than he. He is an old fart to make the same comparison he applies to Biden
Shall we discuss McConnell's blanking out for seconds in mid sentence? How do we explain any of Rep Mage Greene's butt burps? Did you know Reagan's final years were covered up y al those around him.
It is clear to me, Biden is elderly and is not as sharp as he was when 30, 40, 50 years of age. Yet the years of knowledge/ experience he has accumulated is far greater and valuable than the screaming for attention right wing youngster who makes medical biased opinion of diagnosis.
What is pathetic in this is the prosecutors abuse of his entrusted position to elevate himself with his political allegiance in hopes of ingratiating himself for future political considerations for a political appointment for a government socialized job for he cannot compete his wares in the open market.
Yeah, my mom worked for criminal defense attorneys for most of her career, so lawyer-ese isn't too foreign to me, although supreme court protocols are different.
The supremes, though, are bought & paid for. The framers of the constitution never envisioned a president inciting an insurrection, or a political party so batshit insane as to refuse to use the mechanism they included for removing a bad president right after being attacked by a mob sent by said president to stop the transfer of power. Or that one party's elected representatives would go to any lengths, including filibustering themselves, to avoid doing anything like governance, or that their supporters would cheer them on in their shirking of their responsibilities.
Now those lovely folks are doing their damnedest to prove Putin right when he says that democracy is too chaotic and unwieldy to function as a government.
And calling for another civil war all the while.
So now it's up to us sane people to win that civil war at the ballot box and prove Putin wrong.
But oh shit oh shit I just heard that Joe Biden is old.
Thank you again for the podcast. We got a foot or so of snow from the atmospheric river storms, which is inconvenient, but about nine feet better than last year...
