And as mainstream media blithely ignored the writhing, snarling shitpile of bigots and imbeciles that the Republican had base, it was not at all uncommon to see this aging fop on programs like Meet the Press, delivering the Beltway Conserative Consensus Opinion while across the table others delivered the Beltway Centrist Consensus Opinion.
And then the current that had carried York along for his entire adult life became an rapids. But lacking the ballast of honor or anchor of ethics, Byron York never questioned the direction the rapids were taking him.
Just days after the Trump-led insurrection:
And the rapids fell into an eddy.
Then the eddy became a whirlpool.
Then the whirlpool became a black hole.
And down and down York went because he never had the strength of character to do otherwise. Until, inevitably, he and the rest of that cohort of wingut-welfare funded Conserative ended up becoming the
groveling, clapped-out Trump apologists we see all around up today. Trading on the last shreds of their reputations from the Before Time, and working for what has become the hind tit of Conservative media.

So much discussion about whether Republicans will be able to give up Trump once he leaves the presidency. Perhaps the bigger question is whether Democrats will be able to... https://t.co/MIGj1nMuhv

You should read my book, OBSESSION, about the long effort to remove Trump from office, from the origins of the Mueller probe to impeachment (1) acquittal. You really should. https://t.co/UBTEo7zsZZ https://t.co/fnZuzlD16Y

Because York is not an idiot, at some point during his long water-slide into hell it must have occured to him where this was all going and how it would probably end, so I have to wonder why he keeps it up? Why does he walking around on social media, bare-assed stupid, getting worse every day?
And I have to believe that, at some point in the lives of all the people I plan on profiling in this probably-ongoing feature, they just gave up. Came to believe that we're all fucked, that there is nothing to be done about it, so why not cash in however they can and live a pretty good like juking the bigots and imbeciles by wrapping the ragged remnants of their reputations around the worst ideas, dumbest excuses and lamest conspiracy theories bubbling up out of the depth of the deranged Right. .

some reports show that the Heritage Foundation labs along with Federalist Society labs have been for a long time reanimating life from dead corpses to fill republican position roles from Elected officials, SCOTUS judges, Media talking heads and of course GOP vowing base.
If these reports re true. We know where they cometh from.
Somehow devise a disrupt in the zombie pipeline. Like placing ascorbic acid across the marching line of a army of ants on the move.
We al can spot them. We know the grunting sounds they make although their appearance can be deceiving..
If I may supplest, Love to hear the theme music from the TV series "Get Smart". Sound effects with all the doors closing as you walk through a barrage of doors to get tot your podcast station to do your , "Not fair remembering stuff"
A video of you walking through a library door as they close behind you, A diner, a car door, your front door might take too much effort . But would enhance the fun of it.
All the doors to walk through to get to the truth of remembering truth.
