Ally Roll Call.

Time to check in with various allies in our fight for democracy and find out what they're bringing to the table!

First, The Bulwark's Charlie Sykes interviews Yascha Mounk on how the Left and the Right are both toxic and naughty.

Then, just to mix things up, we have Reed Galen of The Lincoln Project [checks notes] interviewing Yascha Mounk on how the Left and the Right are toxic and naughty.

Huh.

Then we find CNN's Joe Walsh burnishing his "I'm still a Tea Party Libertarian!" credentials by performing one of his ritual scoldings of Democrats for not sufficiently holding our side accountable.

And finally we check in with Rick Wilson on his Lincoln Project Enemy's List podcast talking with Doug Sosnick (about whom I had never heard before today) about how both political parties are toxic and naughty.

A couple of quotes for flavor:

Sosnik:  I'm not part of the Hezbollah wing of the Democratic Party.

Wilson:  ... the polarization on the Left and the Right.  But a lot of this also comes down to the sort of weird incentive structure of a "pet media" which exists on Both Sides, but is more developed on the Right.

Sosnik:  So you essentially have, what I call, 45% is Crazy Right.  45% is Crazy Left.  And 10% thinks the Right and the Left are both crazy.

Are you beginning to notice a pattern here?

Now I don't want to be unfair to Never Trumpers.  God knows there were a few scary months there in 2016/17 when it looked like they might have to go out and get jobs that did not involve Getting-Paid-To-Have-Terrible-Opinions.  I just think that, since they were run out of the deranged party they created... and fired-for-cause from Conservative media jobs pimping for that deranged party and slandering people like you and me ... and now depend entirely on the largess of "Liberal" media to stay solvent, they should be required to abide by some version of the same rigorous work and behavior regulations that they used to advocate so energetically for poor people on welfare.

For example, the make-work jobs that were invented for them in the "Liberal" media were never intended to be permanent employment. They were intended to me a "hand up" not a "hand out" to these unemployed Conservative media drones. So it seems entirely reasonable to expect these work-capable adults to work or prepare for work in some field other than Getting-Paid-To-Have-Opinions in exchange for receiving Liberal media benefits.

I hear there are many opportunities in the fields of coding, nursing and retail.

Also, to discourage their dependence on "Liberal" media handouts, there should be a lifetime cap on the number of appearances they will be allowed to have on "Liberal" media.

And it's probably not a bad idea to require periodic drug testing just to, y'know, make sure they're on the straight and narrow.

And finally, since every dollar that's spent puting otherwise unemployable Conservatives into Getting-Paid-To-Have-Opinions jobs in "Liberal" media is a dollar that could have been spent employing an actual Liberal who hasn't spent their entire career trashing Liberal values and calling Liberals baby-killing, terrorist-loving, America-hating Libtards, as a condition of receiving benefits from "Liberal" media, it seems entirely reasonable that during each appearance, Conservative media welfare recipients should be required to emphasis how very, very right the Left has been all along, and how very, very wrong they were all along.

As per religious republicans and right wing clergy.
You need to pray. Learn to pray like Trump does if you want God to respond and look over you.
Stop being so lazy. You expect republicans in congress that were elected and took an oath to defend the constitution to do any of that?

I mean GOP base sent them to congress to burn it down and make laws that favor only them. How could they expect anything else?
