Loved that movie. Just adored it. BTW the actor playing the POTUS Gordon Pinsent recently passed away.
Sci FI has a history of political mayhem.
Example , V for victory, 1984, Fahrenheit, Clock work Orange.
Using government to control the masses.
Even in the Invasion of the Body Snatchers they infiltrated the government to take control.
3.5 minutes in, and we've already got a writer with the stage name of a serial killer (H. H. Holmes).
Well, I guess he was just Marilyn Manson before Marilyn Manson.
A brilliant episode. I remember watching COLOSSUS as a child and being scared by it...but as an adult, I appreciate the film on so many levels.
And yes, James Cameron is a fan of the film. Here's an interview with Eric Braeden talking about his experience on TITANIC and also Cameron's fanboy moment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPcqW7TXwkw
