Remembering things
From the he Movie “Charade” with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn.
In a scene Hepburn asks Grant if he is who he says he is. “how can you tell if someone is lying or telling the truth”?
Grant replies,
There is an old riddle about two tribes of Indians. The truthful white foot and the lying Black foot.
- So one day you meet an Indian. you say "hey Indian”. What are you? A truthful white foot or a lying Blackfoot. The Indian says, he is a truthful white foot.
But which is it?
Hepburn responds; Why couldn’t you just look at his feet?
Grant retorts; Because he is wearing Moccasins.
Hepburn; Well then , must be a truthful white foot like he said, of course.
Grant; Why not a lying black foot?
Hepburn; Which one are you?
Grant; A truthful white foot.
Hepburn; Come in and sit down.
Grant; Why? Do you want to look at my feet?
