I read a report that a local republican religious (Jewish) group who supported this dude's election and really wanted a republican instead of a Democrat. Went all out for him and now publicly are upset that they were deceived.
Like Trump. this GOP chosen one claimed he was Jewish. When confronted of it, He said he said he was "Jew-ish"

And ultimately he will Represent-ish his district.
Why aren't the GOP Proud-ish of him ?
It is not so much that these folks got what they voted for. It is that he is going to vote on issues that will negatively effect me.

Gabbard didn't kill Santos. She batted him around a bit, just to bring him in line. The real message was backstage.

Just look at the judges the GOP has appointed and confirmed.
There is no requirements to be a judge if you are a republican being confirmed by GOP.
These could be the GOP requirements (if they can be called requirements) unlike expertise in law with experience and a long record of legal headed behavior.
Extreme partisan ship, using religion as a personal weapon, doing what you are told by those who own you.
