The Rude Pundit this week pointed out that we have everything we need to beat the goddamn Republicans, and then lamented that because we are Democrats, he doesn't know whether it will actually happen.
We finally got the car smogged and registered this week, and because we were late, the whole thing cost us $400.
Yesterday I read that Gavin Reptile is incensed that Californians are paying the highest prices for gas in the country, and because he's still sitting on a rather sizable budget surplus he's considering giving some of it to Californians who are paying those inflated prices.
Then I read that like the California covid relief, he's planning to give it out via the Franchise Tax Board, meaning that only those who file state tax returns will be eligible for the $400 he's planning to distribute. So like the California covid relief, folks like me whose only income is SSDI won't be eligible again.
No, they won't let you file a return just to be eligible if you didn't have any taxable income.
Tomorrow is the first day of spring, and it's raining outside. Which is a really good thing as this winter is among the driest on record.
