And a long time ago, the Beltway media -- whose profits depend on
delivering the largest possible audience to its advertisers -- decided that
"news" would have to take a distant back seat to framing every story in a way
that offended the least number of viewers. In other words, every story of
the manifest political dysfunction of the GOP would have to become a story
which blames Both Sides. And when that decision was taken, the idea of
reporting honestly about the state of American politics died and was replaced
with an interchangeable cast of drab hacks like Chuck Todd who dutifully
perform the rituals of the Holy Church of Both Sides Do It by wringing his
hands over all the "partisanship" and the state of "Congress" and valorizing
the non-existence Center.
And until the war shows up on their doorstep -- until rising tide of Republican fascism comes pouring out of the
elevators and swamps the executive suites of the Beltway media --
-- I see very little reason to hope that anything will change.

The chucktoddlers are pre-programmed -- your 'creche raised gammas' -- or, ROM in silicon (like Solo in carbonate)-- not reprogrammable meatbags.
As said, they are not responsive to words, ideas.
Reprogramables, who might develop or change or, even, learn their mind which is to say 'having a mind,' or, 'having a change agency,' must never get on camera lest they go all Phil Donahue post-9/11 analysis of faken ews.
If we must (and I do) reprogramables are PROM, at least, if not exactly DRAM.

I do not think there is enough technology in the movie industry to make films reflecting the views of the Right Wing World(s) and how they may look like.
It can only be done through animation and that is limiting to the vast expanse of smelly nonsense pulled out of their rear ends.
At this point in this country’s de-evolution, any words or actions short of a general strike are just another set of jingoistic myths to contend with. Uncle Joe’s words and his administration may be well-intentioned, but we are collectively too far gone to expect positive lasting results from our antiquated fragile democratic institutions.
