Now that veteran Republican lifeboat shipwright Charlie Sykes has completely eliminated from the memory of man all Republican history prior to 2015, you know what really galls him? I mean, really, really nettles him? Riles him? Exasperates him? Or, in the language of his native land, what just irks the heck out of him?
Well here, let him tell you.

I become so cynical that I wonder whether some of these people who are, y'know, expressing alarm about this will turn around and support Trump for, y'know, Trump 2024 because they want four more years of that, which is like, really? You've seen the worst case scenario.
And here comes the punch line.
Sykes: Look I... I... understand there's some people out there saying "What we don't need is you Never Trumpers to be all smug about this!" Well okay I'm trying to keep the smug down but we told you! That this is something we have been saying this for five years! Don't do this! You put this, y'know, the serial liar con-man fraud narcissist authoritarian in the presidency and it will end badly! And it's like, "Well yeah don't... don't you give us that 'I told you so' stuff." Well we did freaking tell you!
Yeah, ol' Charlie is badass Resistance Hero Number One and if you're a Republican who doesn't like him reminding you that he's "been saying this for five years!" well fuck you snowflake!
Of course if you happen to be a Liberal who has the poor taste to remind Charlie Sykes that the Left has been warning people like Charlie Sykes for decades that their chosen profession of enabling wingnut madness and racism would end badly, ol' Charlie reacts a little differently.
Controlling the narrative is everything.
Controlling who gets to be regarded and rewarded as serious-minded professionals and who get relegated to the outer darkness is everything.

If you are a true believer in Trump. Tithing you pay to Trump after he leaves office is the patriotic thing to do.
Just as your church asks for a percent of your earning to provide you with those blessings, (socialism). Tithing a percent of your income to Trump is the only way to support the chosen one.

I've always are assumed the reason the Lincoln Project exists is that they were kicked off the gravy train in favor of the failsons and bootlicking grifters who took over the messaging. Given that political messaging is nothing more than a profitable game to these goons, it was trivial for them to crank out a few sneering videos, and watch the liberal dollars roll in. If this is correct they should quietly cease to exist in a month or so.
We are two countries, united by a common hatred for each other. Only one can be correct, and therein lies the rub.

The hate divide you speak of exceeds far beyong both sides. Republicans hate Ted Cruz. QANON hates TEA Party, Trump hates Rushbo bunched panties over RINOS.
Registered republicans verses republicans registered as Independents.

It is like when , Romney makes public statement of Trump over Russia transgressions against America by stating, " Trump sort of has a blind spot on Russia".
GOP on GOP smiting.? Some of these right wingers hate themselves and self flog when their designated flogger is absent.
True, and the Dem leadership hate AOC and the squad while Bernie Sanders gets the snake eye from true blue Democrats like Joe Manchin who, in his heart of hearts, prefers Republican policies.
As a Wisconsinite, this is certainly true in the case of Charlie-tan Sykes.
