From now on, the only reply to whatever trump says: "I'm rubber, you're glue, everything you say bounces off of me and sticks to you, and your a stinky poo."
We have to start speaking to him in the language and sentence structure he understands.
So the true nature of the bigots and imbeciles in the Republican party has really been on display since the supremes failed to be Fergus personal saviors.
I spend quite a bit of time commenting over at the Field Negro, where he has a non-moderated everyone is free to say whatever they like policy, he says because he'd rather hear about what they are up to than find out about it in other less controlled situations.
The trolls there have been cuckoo for cocoa puffs, even more so that usual, ever since the case was thrown out, and like always, are impervious to facts or reason, and really demonstrative of why it is that they as a group can't be reasoned with.
Or as Ten Bears over at Comrade Misfit's place put it "Operation Just Let Them Speak is working perfectly. Just let them speak."
And then, of course, remember.
That DFB quote about not having a machine to read men's hearts reminded me of a Peter Gabriel lyric:
Empty my mind, I find it hard to cope
Listen to my heart- don't need no stethoscope.
Briana had to travel this week to take care of some business with some property her mom owns in Humboldt County, and she's due back tonight or tomorrow, and the weather just turned... Thankfully it was only rain at this elevation, but the next storm probably won't be quite so warm, so I hope she makes it back before the roads turn dangerous.
The cat was appalled that the ground was wet and wanted to know when I was going to get up off of my ass and do something about it.
Thank you again for the podcast, and I am actually kind of enjoying the cabinet thing: So many despicable reptiles being replaced with so many boring, capable, qualified people, it was really one of the things I was most looking forward to.
I loved how Shirley Sherrod said that yeah, we should give Vilsack a chance because he knows how USDA works and that's important right now given all of the damage that has been done to it, because you know that same situation is playing out all across the cabinet: folks are owning up to the value of boring technocrats who know how to undo the "deconstruction of the administrative state."
And she reminded us that we have to get our advocacy on with all of them. The election has kicked the door open, but nothing changes much unless we go inside and raise some hell.
Or, put another way, same as it ever was.

"The Lincoln Project was a FRAUD." Was. Past tense. It's over.
Yes, even the Never Trumpers are dangerous escapees from the GOP victimhood Lunacy battle ship . Sinking as they run low on life boats and seats on them boats. Floatation devices and the SOS call for socialism to rescue them.
