If the MSNBC didn't give it away when they hired Mrs. M> Kelly for all those Media dollars to nowhere.. Not sure what would get your attention.

Thing is, I do not look to the networks to tell me what to think about the "facts" when they report. Would not necessarily want a left wing media setting the table or a right wing doing the battle cries.
As you spoke of Jake Tapper inquiring inquirer questions of how left are you, your cabinmate choices etc..
Talk about who they are, their background, resume, That sort of thing.
They feel it is too boring. Something informational and helpful to viewers.
Like;
President Teddy Roosevelt, do you think your being way far liberal left as you set aside these lands for national parks? I mean people on the right are saying it seems Marxist ( and I do not mean Harpo) or very Maoist.

The last 4 years of Donny and his magic media is how all his MAGA-ts feel like they are on America has lying republican talent and it is their chance to be discovered. Become a FOX star and be famous.

Someone on Twitter pointed out this week that the fairness doctrine wouldn't save us from cable news because it only applied to things broadcast over the regulated airwaves, and the original draw of cable TV was that it could show things that the FCC frowned upon. Mostly naked women, if I recall correctly.
How quaint that seems now that seditious propaganda is not only on the menu, but part of the business model.
Roger Stone says that boats from North Korea delivered ballots to Maine.
Kinda reminds me of a Zappa related topic: Remember when there were congressional investigations into the content of rock lyrics? Like Judas Priest and Twisted Sister could have been driving kids to Satan or suicide? Seems similarly quaint since the advent of gangsta rap...
Anyway, Michael Steele can fuck right off, and shit like him is part of what makes me glad I've never owned a television set.
I still manage to watch Rachel Maddow most of the time, as you can do that if you know where on the web to look, and I've even lightened up on Ali Velshi a little since he did a fine job filling in for her while she was in quarantine. And the getting shot by a cop at a protest while wearing a gas mask, that kinda seemed journalist-y to me also.
Thanks again for the podcast. The neighbor stopped me on my walk to the mailbox to let me know that he saw a coyote on his porch yesterday, and his wildlife cam has caught our cat very near there late at night a few times lately, and he was concerned for Littlebeast's safety. Which was kind of him, considering that Littlebeast sent his adorable grey cat to the vet when we first moved here. So he is on night time lock down again. The cat, not the neighbor.
It might not have been a miracle, and he was still alive at the time, but the year that we moved to Oakland we saw Frank Zappa play at the Circle Star Theater on his birthday a week after we finally rented a house to live in after eight months of living in a cheap hotel room above Blondie's Pizza in Berkeley. Then, since there were no kids left in Eureka to throw a Christmas for, my mom finally got her wish and flew us to Reno the next day so we could all have Christmas there and gamble and go to a show... Which is how I managed to see Frank Zappa and Glenn Campbell on consecutive nights.
Which, in retrospect, seems a little miraculous...
