Say Anything Racist

Faced with a choice between a Trump-loving, hate-spewing racist who at least nominally believes in the rule of law and a Trump-loving, hate-spewing racist who does not give a shit about the rule of law, the Trump-loving, hate-spewing racist Republican voters of Alabama went to the polls and did exactly what you would expect them to do.

From Brother Charlie Pierce:

Let's All Point and Laugh at Jefferson Beauregard Sessions

Let us all pause and laugh and point at the sad end of the political career of Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, who discovered far too late that there is no amount of spittle that you can lick that will save you from the inevitable career suicide when you ally yourself with El Caudillo del Mar-a-Lago. On Tuesday night, JeffBo tried to regain the Senate seat he’d given up to be attorney general in the president*’s punching-bag cabinet. He got freight-trained in a Republican primary by a former Auburn football coach named Tommy Tuberville. In the end, the president* submarined Sessions as though JeffBo were an Atlantic City glazier he could stiff on an invoice. He endorsed Tuberville...

Liberal Cancel Culture.  Boy, I don't know...

Sad trombone for Mister Magoo. Don’t cry for him though, I’m sure he has a warm seat waiting for him on Fox.

As much delight as I am getting from the fall of Jeff "my ears make my head look like a flesh-toned bowling trophy" Sessions, I doubt we are getting an upgrade with Tuberville, whose campaign attacked Sessions as being insufficiently supportive of Fergus.

So now GOP fans of University of Alabama football will have to choose between a Democrat and the guy who coached gridiron for Auburn, 'Bama's biggest rival. [Even worse, said coach Tuberville beat their beloved Tide six years in a row.] The agony that dilemma presents such fans could become too painful to bear.

For me to witness? Hell, no; I'm not a Republican. Excuse me while I start the popcorn.

He could be staged as one of their voices of diversity, since he had a falling out with Trump.

Football Coaches are nothing new. They miraculously pop up when all the GOP have to offer is Felons, child abusers (Jim Jordan), and their David Duke clones with the luggage.

Nebraska did this with House Seat for Tom Osborn the Husker lord of the football. These coaches have to cover up so many offenses their star players commit.
These head coach types have always found it difficult to play for the team. They need to run the team and Kevin McCarthy or McConnell hold that position.
They cannot establish a running game or passing game once they are elected. They can't recruit a defensive line to explain away their complete obedience to the party (team).

As for JeffBo. he won't even get that confederate Horse statue, with him atop the horse placed in the downtown square.
Ivanka has great advice for JeffBo. "Look for something new". Like selling GOYA Beans for the Trump family under the Amway system. Where JeffBo buys the products and then goes out and uses his own skills and ambitions to sell Trump's products to the MAGA market.

I just know one repub;ican thing about JeffBo's situation of being unemployed. Get off your ass and get back out there into the fields and pick cotton for minimum wage and no health care. If it takes government taking away your tax payer funded pension and health care to inspire and motivate JeffBo back to working for a living. Then the republicans should do it to him.
