"Logic and practical information do not seem to apply here."
"You admit that?"
"To deny the facts would be illogical, Doctor."

Do Death Rallies count as Death Panels? Cuz President Super-Spreader is gonna make those happen fer sure. It's only logical...
OK, let's see if I can type all this before I forget most of it...
My favorite thing all week on the internet about DACA was "John Roberts is not a closet liberal, the Trump administration is just really bad at administrative law." Which got me to thinking that if you boiled down the presidency to two words, you could do far worse than "administrative law" and yup, Fergus and his felons are indeed uniquely bad at it.
Steve Benen curates the Maddow blog, and I read it every damn day. He's a good writer and an excellent blogger.
The stuff about dysfunctional families makes me remember "Some Times a Great Notion", Ken Kesey's lesser known novel, a magnificent piece of writing, if you ask me.
Katie Porter would indeed make a fine senator, and even if Kamala doesn't get picked for veep (as I secretly hope she won't, because I hope) she may get picked for attorney general.
I agree, an embarrassment of riches in well qualified Democratic women does keep me going through the depressing slog this year has become, and I agree that such opinions as I have about who should go where are 1) not informed by the actual factors at play in those decisions, and 2) contingent upon Biden actually winning, and I will not be lulled by a few good polls into believing that to be a done deal until after Fergus actually concedes.
Those never Trumpers can fuck right off, but I do hope those ads help a little. Which isn't really that likely, as his voters are as we speak lining up to crowd into corona palooza for a chance to see him lie to them in person. And I just read that six of his advance staff for the rally have tested positive. Those ads aren't gonna sway them, but they're nice to look at, even if I do occasionally remember stuff and end up snarling at them before they're over.
Happy solstice. It's a beautiful day here, and there was a German Short-haired pointer swimming in the old mill pond when I walked up there earlier. That was okay though, as the mother duck had shooed her ducklings into the reeds on the other side of the pond.
Thank you again for the podcast. Our little beast of a cat got in trouble again when he chased the neighbor's sweet little grey cat, so he's reduced to chittering at the wildlife through the screen on the window, but all in all doesn't seem too upset about it.
I texted Sara and asked her if she had any cat pictures you haven't used, and she hasn't gotten back to me, which is slightly concerning as Sara and cat pictures are a thing, and she now lives in Alabama where covid is running rampant. If she does get back to me with some, I'll send them right away.

OK, I remembered what it was I forgot while I was typing the earlier comment: That stuff about the president informing the citizenry being important? Fergus just appointed a Bannonite to oversee VOA and all of its subsidiary media outlets. I guess president cornered rat is a bit too paranoid to be comforted by merely Fox and OANN and hate radio and Sinclair and on and on and needed an actual state run media organ to calm his frazzled nerve.
