OK, what do I do to be a premium member? Briana is out of the hospital and sitting here listening to the podcast while soaking her infected hand in betadine. The cat hasn't demolished anything, in, gosh, hours...
The weather has turned all springlike and beautiful here, and in a meat packing facility South of Fresno there is an outbreak, and there are confirmed cases right up here in these hills.
So I wear a bandanna to the grocery store and another bandanna wearing gentleman today noted how we would have resembled bank robbers two months ago.
This isn't exactly what you could call Trump country, but it is rural and conservative and a pillar of our community lives three houses up the road, walks a tiny dog in a different sweater each time, and wears a brand new NRA hat sometimes.
Fergus' new campaign amounts to one sentence: "None of this is my fault."
But that is going to be difficult to get millions of affected citizens to swallow, especially after an older member of their family dies in a nursing home and they get a small glimpse of the conditions there that led to that and all of those other thousands of other deaths.
We can't ride on that. We'll only win if we work our asses off, but it is real and out there and coming around to bite some posteriors.
Thank you again for the podcast. The sanity you broadcast means a lot to us while the apocalypse is raging down in the valley and threatening to seep up into these hills.

-Doug in Sugar Pine

PS: Shithead is being kind.

DG, BG, When discussing Yoo and Barr you might want to reference (If you have not already.) Franz Gurtner, Minister of Justice for the Third Reich. His quote, speaking to another Judge, is "If you cannot recognize the will of the Leader (Fuhrer) as the source of law, then you cannot remain a judge." Love your site, your podcasts, and C & L.
