I am so very sorry for your loss. There aren't any words to make things better, but know that there are people who grieve with you.

Always tough to lose a parent. Hang in there, you're not alone in this journey.

She would be proud of you for many reasons, especially for this: https://chaser.com.au/pictures/whitehouse-unveils-trump-presidential-portrait/?fbclid=IwAR14DbGqlGSb8NmCnITIdzWVxxwPkjqV6c98Ahg2lsFQSMR_VtNiGYt7Ua0

Bless you and your family in this trying time and ahoy to the new team-member.

Fergus fatigue is real and part of their plan to sneak as much evil as they can past us while they're in there because it turns out that when we engage with them we can stop way more of the attempted evil than we feared we might. Which is another thing to be thankful for.

Now comes the opportunity for the actual journalists still operating in our corporate corrupted media to step up and claim their spot in the metaphorical sunshine. There is a market for the truth in the news, it just doesn't seem to last that long when it shows up.

So as MLK said, "Now is the time"- for the antidote to the already gravitating toward the "but her emails" coverage that helped sink us last time. Someone's career and place in history is waiting there to lift them and all of us up. Step up and grab it, we'll cheer you when you do, and harang you to do your damn job until then.

Thank you again for the podcast. We're in the chaos part of a forced move, terrified, and grateful for any sanity we can get. The car is in Oakland and the windows work again, which is good because there is deep and deepening snow on the roads between us and our destination at Sugar Pine, near the gate of Yosemite.

...And we have a destination, and a good friend waiting there for us with a black cat and a wood stove, and for that we are very thankful.

-Doug in Rognert Park until day after tomorrow.

My condolences to you, your siblings, and the rest of the family upon your Mom's passing. You honor her, and she lives on through you, with who you are - especially the writer & teacher you continue to be. Best wishes for any tough times ahead, even just the mundane legal and paperwork you'll encounter. My Mom and stepdad both died in 2018 (around the holidays, both) and I'm still tying up loose ends ten months later. Don't forget to take care of yourself when things settle down a few weeks from now. Great photo of your Mom, btw.
