It's called Swiftboating. A standard repugnant attack when someone appears to be an honorable person and affiliated with the military in some way.
I was listening to Professional Left podcast, wherein you said that Duffy’s vile exhortations and Keillor’s stern refutation of Duffy’s effluvia were part of a pre-planned reality show. I’m quitting a lot of cable news now. I should’ve known.
