Morning Joke*

Howard Schultz (aside):  Quick, trusted Never Trumper and my new hired gun, Steve Schmidt!  How much does a box of god damn Cheerios cost!

Steve Schmidt:  That'll cost you ten thousand dollars!

Schultz (aloud):  America, I'm not 100% certain, but I believe a box of Cheerios'll costs right around ten thousand dollars.

Schmidt:  No, I meant researching that information for you would cost you an additional...  You know what?  Never mind.

*h/t Blue Gal at Crooks and Liars for the video.

Behold, a Tip Jar!

I read somewhere else yesterday - so I'm stealing it today:

Howard Schultz apparently was abso-effn-lutely JUST FINE with all of the beyond obvious ongoing endless Trump LIES, the incredibly obvious graft and corruption and money wasting of the Trump Admin/Cabinet/staff, couldn't have been less concerned about the rapine and plunder of our natural resources and environment, could barely shrug a shoulder at Trump breaking the emoluments clause.

But boy HOOOOW-DEEE! Let Elizabeth Warren & Alexandria Oroz-Cortez barely mention taxing these fucking billionaires just a little bit more - and truly: how much would it "hurt" them???? - and Schultz is like a thoroughbred breaking outta the gate before the gate opens!

I GOTZ ta run fer POTUS because hey this ain't fair. Boff Sides!

Maybe his Davos buddies gave him some of their untold millions to run, baby, run.

What a feckin idiot. From what I hear, Schultz is universally hated and derided in Seattle.

Schultz can go fuck himself sideways.

But great video. Yeah this Yutz is CLUELESS. But he KNOWS BETTER what this country and all of us worthless peons need because he's richer than Gawd.

As RUKidding

What billionaire spent his Citizens United Constitutional right to prevent Trump?
Oh sure, some provided some normal donations. As the right still screams their hatred of a George Soros no matter if he gives 19 cents or a hundred dollars to an individual candidate or donates to a non profit climate change organization.
They all rode that money extraction from the middle class and poor for their royal families inheritance.

Shultz as well as other billionaires have bought the government to specifically hold their superiority (based on their wealth) to run the country and make it a one big old Plantation.

It will not surprise me if Oleg Derapaska runs a primary against Trump in 2020. As long as the masters of the universe are down with it. Their bought and owned 5 SCOTUS's will find the words to make it legal for them.
It is why they are there.
To make an analogy ,
A start up small business with so little start up resources. Can no longer compete with corporations of deep wealth and already own government to rig anything they need.

I consider the whole price of Cheerios thing a McGuffin.

This statement in the same interview stood out for me:

“I must be doing something right to create so much interest and backlash from the Democratic Party”

So much for "both sides"!!!!
