Saudi Arabia has always been awful, and American presidents have always pandered to them because that's the sad, old world we live in.
But it is a brand new thing for an American president to side openly with butchers because those butchers put money in his pocket.

As American military are in the Mid East fighting against some enemy that has become so obscure. Just love the troops enough to increase defense spending to sell weapons to Mid east customers. Like America selling Iraq and Iran weapons in the good old republican days.
To honor this fighting, dying and killing with profits (for some). Let us bestow socialism on Gold Star families. Allow them the base exchange shopping privilege. For a mother of a dead son the highest honor.
Shopping discounts at the military's stores where they negotiate low prices for their low paid military soldiers. Nothing better shows our love to the family survivors than to offer them savings of shopping. If they are fortunate to live close enough to a base to shop at one.
