Professional Left Podcast #445

"I don't mind if you don't like my manners, I don't like them myself. They're pretty bad. I grieve over them on long winter evenings."

They've handed us what should be a potent political weapon with their children's gulag policy, and all the while decrying the amorality of the left.
I know none of them will care about this, but we can't care about that. All we care about politically this year is getting our people to vote. We have the people. We have the candidates. Come November we should have a lever of power.
Now for four months of anxiety over just how we might snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, while watching them ramp up their cheating strategies.
Oh well, I have my blood pressure medicine and a doctor appointment in August, so I'll most likely live through it.
Thanks again for the podcast, AT&T almost didn't let me listen to it because John is late with the payment again, and they're not giving anything away for free...

Updating your shifgrether tracking:

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/6/15/1772126/-The-best-description-I-ve-heard-for-the-Trump-Presidency-so-far

"On one of the early afternoon shows yesterday on MSNBC, the host had two lawyers on, discussing the Trump Foundation civil charges. One of them was a long time New York attorney, and in just eight words, he described the Trump Presidency absolutely perfectly. He said, "The Trump Presidency is a bust out joint.""

I disagree with your assertion that it would be better for Trump to be voted out in 2020 than impeached as soon as possible. The man and his administration are flagrantly committing. Letting him remain in office (assuming the Russians, the Chinese, or whomever can't flip vote tallies with the flick of a switch) further undermines the myth of the United States being a country of laws and not men. If Trump's followers (Brrrr!) are brazen enough to take up arms against the rest of us if there's an attempt to legally remove their leader from office, what's to stop them from taking up arms if he fails to be reelected in 2020? I'm not interested in living in either a Russian satelite country or a banana republic.
