I second Doug in Oakland...the "Don't Call Me A Republican! I'm A Libertarian!" mouth breathers always remember the first position he takes and are NEVER around for the reversal.
Rand's, like they did his dad's, faux-libertarianism has always been a great cover for Republicans too chickenshit to admit in public their dreams of America as a Conservative Christian White Ethnostate.
I think you've got Rand Paul about right. Object until the cameras are off. Then reverse and surrender. Reluctantly, of course.
