I already made, or rather invoked, the appropriate Shawshank Redemption metaphor for what lies before and around us.
Had my curiosity piqued seeing Nunes dropping the FOX NEWS McALERT* UraniumOneGate/SteeleKommieDossier combo nerf-nuke & wondering: if this is his great moment of karmic/patriotic vengeance for his proverbial rodent-romancing wick remaining bone-dry after years of riding dirty on the Benghazi Necrophile Gravy-Train ... why teh fuck is he acting like someone's got a machete to his kid's throat right behind the camera?
Why oh why indeed?
Welcome my friends, to the geek show that never ends!
(until it ends)

* Whether you date the original news story from January or last October, either way that there surely is one strenuously motherfucking torpid alert tempo. TIL: FoxNews is the opioid of the timewar kamikazetariat.
Did Blue Gal really just recommend Mindhunter?
While the actors are very good, the writing deserves to be put on death row. My viewing partner got annoyed when I kept finishing their sentences for them. The best dialogue is taken from actual transcripts of interviews with the murderers.
Sadly, there is plenty of material for several seasons. You've got the BTK guy (man with glasses) to look forward to, the Atlanta child killer (at least they'll bring back the Black agent who interviewed for the job), Aileen Wournos to balance out the inherent misogyny.
Seven episodes into it, I would have traded my car for three more of GLOW instead.
I will say this, it's better than Criminal Minds, which I detest. The difference being, it's based on actual cases, not the sick fantasies of some sub-30 year old cop or serial killer wannabe. YMMV
I'm afraid that in practice, the pudding-eaters are way susceptible to the specie of lies the right cooks up especially for them with some of their spare billions.
Perhaps we could dose the pudding?
Thanks again for the podcast. It really does help.
