I Guess "Disruption" Is Off The Menu

Hilarious how Beltway dilettantes freak out when one of the phony virtue which they preach to the masses actually shows up on their doorstep.

Or, to quote from Atlas Shrugged:
You have destroyed all that which you held to be evil and achieved all that which you held to be good. Why, then, do you shrink in horror from the sight of the world around you? That world is not the product of your sins, it is the product and the image of your virtues. It is your moral ideal brought into reality in its full and final perfection.

Jeebus. I had forgotten how bad the Ayn Rand's writing was and recalled why it appeals to adolescent thinking.

As long as we're talking about Dowd: I happen to be holding a borrowed copy of his wretched book A New Way, and holy shit is the man full of himself. The book itself is kind of a low effort The Road to Character (yeah, I know what I said), but the opening is awesomely egomaniacal. Here's how he talks about the new company he started in 2007 to wash that Dubya stench off his brand:

...we quickly switched gears to Vianovo, which is a combination of the feminine and masculine genders in Latin. That fact should have been sending me some signals from the universe that this name might have had more import than just about a company.

And:

Vianovo wasn't really about starting a business; it was much more about finding a new way forward, not only for myself as a leader but possibly for our country. I guess I understood intuitively and subconsciously that my own story needed a new way, and with tremendous disruption and change going on simultaneously within me and around all of us, so does our world.

I didn't realize what an asshole Dowd really is until I had to type that. Oh, and in case you've never heard that official story of his break with the GOP, it seems that contrary to appearances, he did not cowardly flee from a sinking ship in an attempt to save his own effortless career. Rather, he truly believed that Dubya was the great centrist hope to unite the country (yeah, I know), coincidentally learned that this wasn't true at the same time everyone was fleeing with the scraps of their reputations, and boldly rebuked Dubya, which cost him dear, he'd like you to know. Dowd's a goddamn hero in his own mind.

Lordy Lou.

Ayn Rand is a example of negative vibes that come with immigrants (from Russia).
So Dowd gave up fly fishing for Trolling did he?

@ Michael Sweeney
There's a blog over at Patheos called Daylight Atheism. The blogger, Mike Lee, did a long series on Atlas, and is doing one now on Fountainhead. I had not read Rand since high school, and didn't remember (didn't realize at the time) how bad it was. How bizarre it was. Mike's takedown is well done, and the comments community is quite entertaining. At some point in, one comment contributor starts posting a satire of the covered material with Cobra Commander from the GI Joe cartoon as a foil for all the silly characters for each installment. Here is the index to it.

Damn, Dowd. I knew it was all bullshit, but one of the main ingredients of Both-Sider brand Bush Off Spray was a 90% solution of Glorious-Beltway-Outsider-Who-Will-Be-Above-The-DC-Norms-Mythology.

Considering today's (June 8th) media talking point defense of President Stupid being, well, that he is too stupid to know you don't demand a law enforcement agent not investigate you or else....and then implement the "or else" when he doesn't listen. People are actually allowed on TV today to pretend as if that is something excusive to the Executive Branch of the Federal government. Now firing the FBI director is the equivalent of accidently parking in the boss's spot on your first day at a new job.

"Disruption" can nonetheless be rented hourly at the usual going rate.

Respond to the blithering lips if you must but track faithfully the naughty filthy hands.
By their fruits shall ye PWN them.
