Matthew Dowd Remains a Fundamentally Ridiculous Person

The deacons of the High and Holy Church of Both Siderism have got nothing left.

Absolutely nothing.

Yes, truly hypocritical and he, of course knows it too. The GOP's grotesque levels of cynicism and hypocrisy didn't start with the Obama Administration; they go way back to the Nixon Administration. The only difference is that now they are willing to overtly sanction treachery and treason instead of trying to hide it.

How oh how were Republicans supposed to know that colluding with foreign governments to help them win elections was treason?

Bush-Saudi Arabia 2000

Reagan Iran-Contra 1988

Reagan Iran 1980

Nixon Viet Cong 1968

and the list goes on...and on...and on...

I worry Trump's Russian Ties will just become Bush's Iraqi WMDs: An obvious crime no one wants to really do anything about because of the obvious consequences across such a broad spectrum.

Trumps still has like 80% approval among Republican voters, Congressional Republican still want their agenda and think they can hide counting on typical depressed midterm voter turnout to survive; and, with the joint session speech, a large segment of the press showed its desperate to normalize this Presidency.

Even a disconcerting number of progressives say the Trump/Russia thing is just desperate Hillary supports looking to deflect blame for losing to Trump.

Even if Democrats retake the House, I don't see the support to really chase this rabbit down its hole.

That a cool calm pursuit of truth would - by the cold dead hand of logic - transport an astonishing number of The Usual Suspects to either a SuperMax cell or a gurney in short order is a fact which must never sully the precious minds of Dowd & his fellow useful idiots.
