As Long As Voting To Destroy The Evil Liberal Moon Was Meaningless...

...the meatheads were all for it.

They cheered and cheered.

Because every one of them knew that the Evil Liberal Moon was the source of every one of their problems.  Because they had heard it on Fox News and Hate Radio one million times.  And Trump promised to blow up the Evil Liberal Moon and replace it with a much bigger and more awesome Moon which would cost them nothing and solve all of their problems.

And the cheered and cheered even louder.

But it turned out the Randite genius super-heroes the meatheads elected to actually blow up the Evil Liberal Moon did not have the slightest fucking idea how moons or tides or gravity or blowing-things-up actually work.

And now that giant flaming chunks of their big, stupid dream are beginning to fall on their heads, they're starting to run in circles, flapping their arms, and swearing that nobody told 'em that blowin' up the Moon might be, y'know, bad.

Trumpcare breaks every promise Trump made about health care
The bill would not preserve coverage for millions nor guarantee cheaper and better health care.
From The New York Times:
Trump Supporters Have the Most to Lose in the G.O.P. Repeal Bill

The people who stand to lose the most in tax credits under the House Republican health plan tended to support Donald J. Trump over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, according to a new Upshot analysis.

Over all, voters who would be eligible for a tax credit that would be at least $1,000 smaller than the subsidy they’re eligible for under Obamacare supported Mr. Trump over Hillary Clinton by a seven-point margin.

The voters hit the hardest — eligible for at least $5,000 less in tax credits under the Republican plan — supported Mr. Trump by a margin of 59 percent to 36 percent.

From the Los Angeles Times:
Trump voters would be among the biggest losers in Republicans' Obamacare replacement plan 2016 election results

Americans who swept President Trump to victory — lower-income, older voters in conservative, rural parts of the country — stand to lose the most in federal healthcare aid under a Republican plan to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, according to a Times analysis of county voting and tax credit data...
From The Guardian:
Trump supporters in the heartland fear being left behind by GOP health plan

Republican proposal would upend a healthcare system in Indiana that covers many low-income people – in a program that Mike Pence put in place

Janice Phelps, a 60-year-old disabled factory worker in Evansville, Indiana, knows how expensive healthcare is.

Each month, shots for her severe asthma cost $3,000. Quarterly injections for knee pain cost $3,200. Medication for depression costs $900. She has had seven back surgeries, two shoulder surgeries, and two knee surgeries since 1985. The largest public health programs in America – Medicaid and Medicare, which aid the poor and the elderly – paid for nearly all of it.

Yet those programs are now threatened by the men she voted for: Donald Trump and former Indiana governor Mike Pence.

“I’m all in favor of repealing it,” she said about Republicans’ push to do away with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), popularly known as Obamacare. But, she said, when you talk about cutting Medicaid: “I don’t agree with that at all.”
...

At some point during her long and complicated medical history, Ms. Phelps apparently had most of her brain removed.

As have 63 million of her fellow Trump voters.

Honestly, fuck these people.

Choices have consequences and sadly, in this instance, the statement "America deserves the govt they get" rings so true. This includes those that voted for Cheeto Jesus and for those that didn't bother to vote. Clearly, the trumpians will suffer and will have no idea how this came to pass but too many innocents will suffer as well and those consequences will be undeserved.

We are still in the early days of this administration and a lot of negative things could still happen for the republicans but I'm not convinced the voting electorate will have an epiphany and make any drastic changes in 2018 or 2020 for that matter. The dumbing down of America is complete.

" And Trump promised to blow up the Evil Liberal Moon and replace it with a much bigger and more awesome Moon". That's no Moon......

Joel: Quite agree that we can't count on an epiphany from the electorate for 2018, or 2020. Hell, maybe never. Citizens United will be in force, Sessions & the Rethugs will do everything they can to restrict voting rights. I have very little faith in the Media, or for that matter the Democratic Party at the higher State & National levels.

I agree with Drifty that changing the mindset of the Conservative sheep is pretty much hopeless. That leaves trying to get 3%, 5%, 10% of the 40-50% that never vote to get up off their asses and throw the bums out. Possible, particularly if the Rethugs really fuck things up. OTOH, I remember Reagan coming in just 6 years after Nixon resigned. And I really thought Bush wouldn't get re-elected in 2004 after royally fucking up Irag/Afghanistan.

I think we're in for interesting times (yes, the Asian proverb's negative meaning).

Trump can;t blow up the moon.

He is putting Newt Gingrich in charge of NASA to colonize it.

Private prison colonies................

mussolini once combined a coupe of things and invented Fascism.

In an experiment involving Paul Ryan.

In a controlled environment. I conducted the experiment over and over with the same result.

Every experiment ended with the exact same result.

No matter the quantity of Bible or Ayn Rand .
Every experiment it is noted and documented resulted in Ayn Rand devouring the Bible 100% of the test findings.

In studies combining the Bible with other materials. The outcomes were variable.

We noted the continued destructive active nature of Ayn Rand every time it was exposed to materials other than the Bible. Ayn Rand material exposed to such materials as White supremacy. Ayn Rand engulfs its competitor.

In the experiment of combining the TRump Strain of Ayn Rand and the Ryan strain of Ayn Rand. Are findings are unpredictable but clearly documented and peer reviewed that one strain of Ayn Rand overtakes the other every time.

As H.L. Mencken wrote, "Democracy is the system where the common people vote for they want, and getting it good & hard."

Sad part is that the idiots will never blame the sociopath they voted for. Instead they'll believe Fox News and curse those awful Democrats. Obamacare is collapsing and will kill us all!

Off topic, but apparent Steve King (R-IA) has let his white supremacist self hang it all out on Twitter.
Per Josh Marshall at TPM, King tweeted (referring to ultra-right/racist Dutch politician Geert Wilders)--
"Wilders understands that culture and demographics are our destiny. We can't restore our civilization with somebody else's babies."

I view this as hate speech.

Conservative Ideology of free markets and government out of the way has already failed the GOP on the health care issue.

Even with passing a government health care plan with tax cuts to insurance industry CEOs that earn over $500 K a year. Is Government stepping in and deciding winners and losers. There are too many other insurance regs that existed even before the ACA. Whatever the GOP does, is Government getting involved and in the way.

But practicing what they preach and propagandize was never a GOP strong value.Pushing a health plan through the Ways and Means committee without a CBO scoring is an high profile way of displaying their lack of fiscal responsibility they so market well but least provide.

I heard HHS Secretary exacting the most confident, fiscal accountability and clear and transparent explanation of the health care plan.
He stated, "I - BELIEVE - this will be a great health care plan".
It seems the Congressional paid Chaplains that provide sermons every day to congress (when in session) (at taxpayer expense) has not assisted in preventing Tom Price from espousing blasphemous Ayn Randian sermons to the masses himself.

Check out the Congressional Chaplin web site. We pay for it.

You won't get the dailly sermon delivered to you at your job on company time. But you can read their daily prayers and be on the same page. Or not.

Spoiler: of course it's David Fucking Brooks pointing this out, and of course he doesn't dare mention his role in training the leopards to eat people's faces, and of course there's an actual commenter saying "I absolutely believe David Brooks he is an honest man". Dear God.

YES, MY CHILD?

I would like to file a bug report.

I don't think it's fair to direct your anger at the people who voted for trump. They bare some responsibility, but not all of it. We have a very useless media that allow liars to lie and an opposition party that treat those lies as a mere difference in opinion.

People who voted for obama may still think he's the most liberal president yet.. and not know everything he pushed was rehashed republican plans in an attempt to compromise.
