If You Have Something Terribly Important to Say to the USDA...

...I'd suggest you say it now.

From Talking Points Memo:
USDA Research Scientists Ordered To Cease Public Communications

The Department of Agriculture has instructed over 2,000 employees in its Agricultural Research Service to cease all public communications.

“Starting immediately and until further notice, ARS will not release any public-facing documents,” an email from ARS Chief of Staff Sharon D. Drumm sent Monday and obtained by TPM reads. “This includes, but is not limited to, news releases, photos, fact sheets, news feeds, and social media content.”

According to Buzzfeed News, who first reported on the email, one regional director followed up on the message to assure confused agency scientists that they could still publish papers in academic journals.

Buzzfeed reported the director told them any media interviews would still have to be approved by the agency's Washington, D.C. communications office, though.

The USDA did not reply to Buzzfeed’s request for comment...
63 million of our neighbors elected a Pharaoh.

Soon come the plagues.

Good morning, Mr. Glass.

"63 million of our neighbors elected a Pharaoh."

Specifically, King Tut from 60s Batman...

Now more than ever we need a strong, independent fourth estate. I am not hopeful.

Goodbye, nice knowing you.
Thanks for preventing me from eating Mad Cow meat for as long as you were able to.
If Only you provided personal meat disease consumer self electronic detectors to the public.
I will now set my oven (or barbecue) on Charcoal setting.

I just won't have the EPA to assist me with the hazards of consuming charcoal.

But hey, we only go through life once. Let us make sure we protect the unborn to be brought into a world where they can be fucked too.

My wife works for USDA Forest Service. There are 39 Trumpers interrogating the USDA management this week and probably longer. Tricky messing with USDA since it is very popular with a lot of red state rural voters.
