I first read "Driftglass" in the midst of the darkest hour of the Bush years. The post, as I remember, was about "hammersacking a fundy." It made me laugh, and made me realize there were others who felt exactly as I did about what was going on. Now, what we are facing is far worse, though it seems impossible.I am frightened, but at least I know I'm not alone.I want to believe that there will be people who will step in and stop this. Some people probably felt the same in 1930's Germany.

A nominee of a president elected for 2 terms to have 3 SCOTUS openings in those 8 yrs. Denied to nominate the third opening because, republican "Principles and values".
So I call and I write and I am persistent in telling them I demand to see those same "Principles and values" applied to Trumps Cabinet nominees. That I and many others are watching how they vote and will want to know why they voted the way they did.
