Congratulations and Happy Anniversary.
If that record setting bovine was a steer, "he" was castrated and cannot be used for breeding purposes. Here is a site that explains the differences among the variety of bovines:

My understanding is that state fair livestock auctions are for publicity, and the animals are often returned to the seller, but that isn't necessarily the case, so the purchaser could take their steer and turn him into burgers.
You know why Kristol hates Trump, don't you? Mitt Romney paid Kristol et al $50 million to help him lose the 2012 election.
Trump is losing on the cheap, without cutting Billy in on the grift.
Congratulations on your anniversary. I just listened to the excellent podcast, and had a million things to say, out of which I can remember two:
First, when you said that a steer had sold for a record sum and was surely going to be used for breeding, I went wait, that can't be right; steers are castrated bulls, so no way no how can they breed. Then I went to look it up and according to the Chicago Tribune it was a steer, bought by AT&T, Monsanto, and a couple of other entities for $100,000. So that kind of weirded me out a little and I kind of don't want to know why they bought it.
Second, I wanted to tell you about that video, the iffy quality clip from A Guide for the Married Man. I've wanted to drop a link to it in a few comments I have left on other sites, but I never do because in the information below it it says "Democrat strategy. Progressive playbook. Obama and Biden learned from this movie." And my poor old sense of irony just can't handle that.

Second comment is a spambot. Kill it.
