A full moon on a dark night
And a smooth road all the way to your door."

Good afternoon, Mr. Glass.

Well, time for me to learn who the heck Mike Pence is...

http://www.salon.com/2016/07/14/the_sad_incurious_case_of_mike_pence_why_hes_a_perfect_fit_for_donald_trump/

[But then he donned his bootlicker cape and went full ham: “You know, Donald Trump understands the frustrations and the hopes of the American people like no other American leader in my lifetime since Ronald Reagan…Donald Trump gets it. Donald Trump hears the voice of the American people. He’s been successful on Wall Street but he’s never turned his back on Main Street. He’s never forgotten or forsaken the people who work with their hands, who grow the good, build our roads and bridges, tend to our sick, teach our kids.”]

Wait, isn't that a Jennifer Lopez song? "Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got. I'm still...I'm still Jenny from the block."

Be seeing you.

The little verse at the beginning was nice. Has a real "May the sun be ever upon your face and the wind be ever at your back" kind of feel to it. However, I think for our current times the old Chinese curse "May you live in interesting times" is somewhat more appropriate.

Gov. Mike Pence (actually more like Mike Farthing) is a notable dim bulb. Indian reporters have noted that he speaks to a policy with a few talking points and no matter the subject he simply repeats those points (a bit like Sen. Water Boy now that I think of it). Anyway, someone should let poor Mike Ha'penny know that the Trumpster did not make his money on Wall St.; he inherited most of it and made the rest in real estate and casino development.

So was there a meeting of media executives somewhere where the subject was "Well, we won the primary for Trump, now what else can we do for him?" or did they just wing it and this is what we get?
