I came down to dinner last night as my kindly gray-haired mother was watching this very segment. Just, in fact, as Mair (so nice to have a name for this particular block of wood) was saying the thing about "liberal union propaganda from the 70s" (or whatever; I'd have to watch it again, and life's too short and brain cells too fragile) and Tweety was turning to let Coultergeist spew a fresh load of shit from that extra anus under its nose. I joked with my mom afterwards that I know she doesn't like how cranky I get when I'm hungry, but killing my appetite is not the solution.

If Jeremy Whittington, from The Real Ghostbusters episode "Ragnarok 'n' Roll" (written by some guy named Straczynski nobody in 198X had ever heard of), watched one of today's liberal teevee machine programs, he would take up that flute and play the song that ends the Earth without needing to have his heart broken. And I'm not sure his friend DiTillio would stop him this time, or that the Ghostbusters would stand down from overclocking their proton packs.

"Never met such a Gorgon . . . I don't really know what a Gorgon is like, but I am quite sure that Lady Bracknell is one. In any case, she is a monster, without being a myth, which is rather unfair."
