I don't know if you watch "Veep," but on the second episode of the season, Julia L-D made one of the greatest statements I have ever heard about what modern politics has become.
In a speech in front of congress, her teleprompter mistakenly displays the text from a different speech. After the military had told her that they can scrap an expensive new submarine program which would save $50 billion, Selena plans to spend the money on a social program meant to alleviate childhood poverty. After accidentally reading a speech which funds the unwanted submarine for an extra $10 billion, she berates her staff for the screw-up and says:
"Whole cities of children were going to be saved from poverty. Instead, that money is going to fund obsolete metal, giant dildos"
Also, Point Break owns. It can't just be a "guy thing" because it was directed by a woman, Katherine Bigelow.
Veep is one of the best shows on TV.
