Sunday Morning Comin' Down

I was going to once again summarize the Sunday Mouse Circus for you.  Something I have been doing on this blog for nearly 10 years.  But today, for some reason --
...
IRAN, HILLARY and 2016: Senator Tim Kaine addresses this week's congressional letter to Iran and offers insight into how Democrats are handling the email controversy of their assumed presidential candidate.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR THE BENGHAZI PANEL:The Hillary Clinton email controversy has revived the House Select Committee on Benghazi, and its chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy, is adamant the investigation remains much more than a pursuit of the would-be Democratic presidential contender's missing correspondence.
-- I suddenly realized I'd rather remove my pineal gland with a power drill and a garlic press.

Because problem now is the same as it was ten years ago, and the same as it was ten years before that and, very likely, the same as it will be ten years from now.

Everybody knows where the booze is.

The problem isn't finding it...

The problem is who wants to cross Capone?*

*  Thanks for the catch. Marie!

Also, Ted Cruz is announcing his candidacy at "Liberty University" ... and everyone will act like it is a legitimate educational facility.

For decades I've been calling these the "Sunday Morning Gas Bag" shows. Outside of the Fox demo and true believers of various stripes, who even watches this stuff?

I quit risking my pineal gland a decade or so ago.

Let's use this opportunity to remember that, for a conservative, Benghazi is the worst thing that ever happened during the Obama presidency.

Then compare with 9/11.

It's OK Driftglass, SOMEONE'S gotta have some mental health, and it sure isn't gonna be those fuckers on the Sunday morning teevee, so cut yourself a break for a minute when you feel like it.

I understand the power drill, but what's the garlic press for? Are you hoping to extract melatonin? Having sleep problems?

Love your stuff, Driftglass, & despise Roger Ailes, but it's unlikely he ever said, "'The truth' is whatever people will believe."
