Ixnay on the Ohnnyjay Ashcay

It will only make Failgunner Ted very sad.
Ted Cruz: I stopped listening to rock music after 9/11

Ted Cruz is a little bit country and not a bit rock ‘n’ roll.
In an interview Tuesday on “CBS This Morning,” the Texas senator told his TV hosts that he “grew up listening to classic rock” but that that soon changed.

“My music taste changed on 9/11,” Cruz said.

“I actually intellectually find this very curious, but on 9/11, I didn’t like how rock music responded,” he said. “And country music, collectively, the way they responded, it resonated with me.”
...
Once he exhausts the "Boot In Your Ass" subgenre of country Failgunner Ted is in for some rude surprises.

Well, we're doin' mighty fine, I do suppose
In our streak of lightnin' cars and fancy clothes
But just so we're reminded of the ones who are held back
Up front there ought to be a Man In Black

I wear it for the sick and lonely old
For the reckless ones whose bad trip left them cold
I wear the black in mournin' for the lives that could have been
Each week we lose a hundred fine young men

Yet another clueless conservative being completely misguided about the meaning of music.

You know, if this keeps up - what with musicians disappointing conservatives by showing their true feelings, conservatives aren't gonna have anything left except Toby Keith and the 1980's GIJoe theme song.

In the rock genre, the wingnuts still have Ted "I Shat My Pants To Dodge The Draft" Nugent, Meat Loaf, Gene Simmons, and a few others. Those musicians could form a supergroup and call themselves "The Motley Crew" if that name weren't already taken (and misspelled in pseudo-Germanic fashion). ;)

Hopefully some poor minstrel will be bequeathed Ted ' s beneficence when he steals their intellectual property rights ala Ronnie Raygun and Born in the U.S.A. Scott Walker and Shipping up to Boston, and McCain /Palin stealing My Hero. It's interesting that Republicans have no respect for property rights.

Don't forget the McPalin campaign stealing "Barracuda" for Palin. Heart was not amused.
