I am...suspicious.
From the Daily Beast:
Friends Say Harper Lee Was ManipulatedFour people who know Harper Lee and reside in or near Monroeville, Alabama, say they believe she does not possess sufficient mental faculties to make informed decisions about her career. Publisher HarperCollins announced Tuesday that Lee’s second novel, Go Set a Watchman, will be released this summer, but residents say this goes against Lee’s expressed wishes for her career...
Unless she is being mistreated, leave Harper Lee the hell alone.

How pleasant that you show your straight literary side, with no politics, save those of the publishing world.
Even if Harper Lee's new book is a turkey, it won't matter a whit. Her renown is so well established by To Kill A Mockingbird that no later work, even a flawed "sequel," could diminish it.
Compare Delilah, by Marcus Goodrich.
I think I remember reading that she didn't want to publish anything else, but I'll read it anyway. It's apparently older than TKAM, and written from the POV of Scout in her 20s.

Good morning, Mr. Glass.
I would've gone with "Kill Bird: Part 2". But then, I can't remember f*ck all about the first book.
Enjoy your day.

I predict that 6 weeks after publication it will be revealed that Harper Lee's new book is a forgery.
Hilarity will ensue.
My prediction is that it will go from a couple days of publishing hype to the remainder tables at Books A Million in record time. Harper Lee fans will have the discouraging experience of learning what every author knows -- a good editor makes a huge difference in the quality of a manuscript.
