...There are some days I wish the scales had never fallen from my eyes, that I had remained stupid and compliant and done as I was ordered.

Red Pills are permanent, though. Ain't no goin' back...

The pills don't bring bliss permanently,
and
I can assure you I tried the frontal lobotomy. This brought ignorant bliss, no cares or worries. It was like a drunken blackout until......

The damn frontal lobe that was lobotomized grew the hell back......

Frontal lobotomy does not work either.
It does provide temporary relief.
But it is 4 fold worse once the brain grows back and self awareness develops again.

Hard to regain equilibrium ... again. And again. And again. But, yuh know what, fellow travelers?

We survived the Bush League Reign of Errors and those Dick the Prick years. (Though, true, millions of Iraqis, Afghans and U.S. military did not.)

On the bright side, maybe some of the Dumber Shits among us -- you know, not the truly evil, just the ones too stupid and allegedly apolitical to bother voting or to bother even getting worked up about this here politics stuff -- maybe the Walking Dead among us will finally wake the f*ck up.

It's already too late. But it is refreshing to see the Heavy-With-Eye-Scales squinting up into the nuclear glare now, as they pull their atrophied heads from from their own ass cracks.

With all this manure lying around, there's GOTTA be a pony somewhere.

I'm looking for that pony.

OK, I just fuckin' laughed out loud at this (from Mr. Pierce's Gobshites post today):

SCHIEFFER: But is it what you thought it would be?

(Good follow-up, Bob)

OBAMA: No, there are far more idiots getting elected than I ever thought there would be.
Jesus, did you see some of those clowns on Tuesday night? God help us all.

Well, that's what it sounded like to me anyway.
