This particular both sides shit sandwich has been nicely aged. The Democrat extends a war in order to drop atomic bombs on civilians in Japan while a Republican sabotages peace talks in North Vietnam extending that war for an extra five years. Bush II makes an appearance and as a bonus there is criticism of the "mass media" in America that does not mention Fox News:
