Dear Magazine Editors,
I work well with others.
Always make my deadlines.
And am usually 4-20 years ahead of the curve.
I can build a formidable paragraph while at the same time composing original, incisive graphics.
Like the one above.
And hundreds more.
I am also reasonably priced.
Email me.

UPDATE:
By the way, New Republic, this gag really doesn't make sense unless you indicate in some way that you are slyly riffing on the 1999 cult hit, "Being John Malkovich".
Perhaps if you were renting my services I could spare you little mistakes like this :-)

Unbelievable. If there was any justice in this world you would be the editor.
DG: Isn't this the second (at least) picture that you've had ripped off so far?
While I realize that you photoshopped the image, you still might want to consider copyrighting your images, just in case this shit keeps happening.

Seriously, that you aren't paid for your writing is just more evidence, for me, that idiots and fucking morons run everything.
Plagiarism. Straight up.
Uh, Nick?
". . .idiots and fucking morons run everything." ?
I suggest that should be "thieves, parasites and murderers".
Bonus Question: Which is Andrew Sullivan?
wow! words escape.
what in the world was their reaction to your email?
Thieves, parasites and murders can be more generally classified as idiots and morons.
They all deserve to have their oxygen privileges cut off.
How is their rip-off not a violation of "This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 United States License."? You might be able to get Creative Commons or even EFF involved.
I do not want a fight.
I want a job.
Then I suggest you get on Dirk Barnett's rolodex/twitterdeck

(ps @thenewrepublic is not @tnr)
Wanting a job is really part of your problem. But you won't even get credit for this. They will not give you a thin dime.
Stop believing in the corporate system. It isn't serving you. It is serving others, and you will never be in that club.
The decrepit U.S. bourgeoisie has sunk so far into dementia that it can't perceive Droneglass' usefulness and pay him a salary.
That alone should be enough shake one's faith in their doomed system.
