From Digby:
The Iraq supergroup reunion
by digby
If you weren't skeptical about intervention in Syria before, this should make you think twice:
Dear Mr. President:
Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad has once again violated your red line, using chemical weapons to kill as many as 1,400 people in the suburbs of Damascus. You have said that large-scale use of chemical weapons in Syria would implicate “core national interests,” including “making sure that weapons of mass destruction are not proliferating, as well as needing to protect our allies [and] our bases in the region.” The world—including Iran, North Korea, and other potential aggressors who seek or possess weapons of mass of destruction—is now watching to see how you respond.
...

I'm not sure why Ken Adelman and Frank Gaffney aren't on board, but perhaps they're pushing for a full scale invasion...

Talk about a band that nobody wanted to see stage a reunion tour.
How about for once, we let the next door neighbors sort one out?
I find it hard to believe there's a real human being named "Arch Puddington".
Yeah.
They're getting the band back together.
And looking for the pig!
(But they're all pigs so it's hard to differentiate.)
Loved it in the movie "Red,"

At least by signing their names, they make it easier to indict later.
Oh yeah. We're looking forward these days...

Clifford May doesn't have a PhD.
Somebody's inflating his credentials.
This neatly sums up our political situation here in the US and should put to rest the myth of oppositional parties facing off against one another with competing agendas. Note that the newer American Century participants not only include some of the same chicken hawks from the older version pushing for regime change in Iraq, but this crew can expect a receptive ear from the Obama administration along with a similar outcome: aggressive war and regime change, both at variance with international law.
Just the change we were all hoping for.
And if we do get involved in Syria and an American dies: Damascazi!
The only person that list is missing is Dick Cheney.

Bill Kristol??
Even Obama has got to laugh at that. What, ol' Always-Wrong couldn't even get Sarah Palin to sign?
