NYT Website Having Problems

From All Things D:
New York Times Web Site Is Down, Hackers Not Involved

The Web site of The New York Times has been unavailable since late this morning East Coast time and while there are reports that it is the result of a denial-of-service attack by unknown parties, the Times has just said via Twitter that it is the result of a an “internal issue.”

The Times had earlier in the day confirmed via Twitter that it is experienced technical difficulties, but did not immediately elaborate on the cause. Calls to representatives for The New York Times company have not as yet been returned.

Eileen Murphy, a spokeswoman for The New York Times Company just reiterated the “internal issue,” comment via Twitter.

My own theory is that when the Times' servers were forced to process one more very bad story --
Obama, Snowden and Putin
...

You only get one chance to make a second impression. It seems to me that Edward Snowden should use his and that Russian President Vladimir Putin has blown his.
...

-- by the worst writer in American journalism --

GELLER

-- they finally snapped and went full HAL 9000 on the rest of the paper.

Wagonjak,

With his cat-dragged-slowly-down-a-mile-high-chalkboard prose stylings AND his apparently permanent membership on the Pulitzer board, I think Tommy breaks the tape by a nose
