Andrew is becoming a preening middle-aged peacock. Process about complete I'd say.
Sometimes I wonder if the psychological strain of Sullivan denying the hate his movement has for him is causing permanent psychological damage to appear before us.
Sometimes I think he's just a pompous asshole.

It's true. We often look at one another resignedly, as if to say, "Dammit, won't some other movement have him?"
As the title of this series eventually means, he just isn't very bright. For example, thinking that being a British conservative would just transplant over here tout court.
My favorite bit was when Ta-Nehisi Coates, at first a Sullivan-embracer, got a load of the latter's thoughts about IQ and race. http://www.theamericanconservative.com/dreher/the-sullivan-tnc-raceiq-debate/. In this piece we also see that Andrew's other movement (American conservatism) is not too sure about him either.
He's definitely a pompous asshole. That's all you ever really need to know about him.
