Oh, Jesus Fucking Christ this has me so goddamned pissed off.
The only thing I can think of as to how this could possibly be of any value is, as Rick M. said, use as a cudgel against entrenched ignorance and hypocrisy. He was elected because he is white and male and blithers on about Jesus and morals. Word of fear and words of power are the ONLY thing they have. They are empty.
I'm tempted to think of appropriate lines from a T. S. Eliot poem which I love, but I do not want the lovely language of that poem sullied by the memory of this philandering fuckwit.
No, no, no. You don't get it. This is C-Street Christianity we're talking about. I'm sure Bluegal would have much to say on this so I want to make this clear that we're talking about Republican Christianity.
With Republican Christianity, it doesn't matter what you DO. It's what you SAY that counts!
Didn't Gingrich say that in almost those words?
With Republican Jesus, you can lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, have wide-stances in the bathroom, anything you want. All you have to do is look up in the sky and say "sorry about that Jesus" and the slate is wiped clean so you can do it all again.
The only crime is to deviate from their Gospel: liberals hate America, gays are ruining marriage, feminists are ruining the family, atheists are evil, etc. etc. Stay on message and you literally can't do anything that won't make Republican drones forgive you and vote for you.
Clinton doesn't qualify for Republican Jesus' forgiveness. So yes, they will continue to be outraged by Clinton's infidelity but continue to give passes to Gingrich, Giuliani, Sanford, Vitter, etc. etc. They've all been forgiven.
Clinton won't be forgiven by Republican Jesus until he renounces the Democrat party and begins reciting the mantra. Until then, he's stuck with his sins.

Do yo think Republicans realize they've just lost the right to make Bill Clinton jokes for the rest of their lives?
Oh, who am I kidding? Of course they'll keep going; what else do they do all day?

And these people say WE have no moral foundation?
